These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply when you use Plimbu, a product of Planning Digital Services Limited (“we”, “us”).

By using Plimbu, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Plimbu is

Plimbu is an informational tool that helps homeowners explore early ideas for home projects, including planning-route signals, site context, indicative costs and suggested next steps.

Not professional advice

• Plimbu does not provide formal planning advice.
• Plimbu does not provide architectural, structural, legal or financial advice.
• Outputs are based on available datasets, your inputs and automated checks. They can be incomplete or out of date.

This tool provides an early indication of planning constraints based on available spatial datasets. It does not constitute formal planning advice. Figures and planning outcomes are indicative only.

Planning decisions

Planning and related decisions remain with the relevant local planning authority and other statutory bodies. Plimbu does not grant permission, certificates, warrants or approvals.

Cost estimates

Any cost ranges shown in Plimbu are indicative only. Actual costs vary by design, site conditions, materials, labour, professional fees and many other factors. Do not treat Plimbu figures as a quote or tender.

Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information, including selecting the correct property
• Use Plimbu for lawful, personal planning exploration
• Take professional advice before making design, spending or application decisions
• Check current local requirements, because rules and datasets can change

Acceptable use

You must not misuse Plimbu, including by attempting to disrupt the service, scrape data at scale, reverse engineer protected systems, or use outputs to mislead others about planning status.

Intellectual property

Plimbu branding, software, layout and original content belong to Planning Digital Services Limited or its licensors. You may download a summary PDF for your personal use in connection with your project. You do not acquire ownership of our software, datasets or third-party map/data rights.

Limitation of liability

Plimbu is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude warranties that the service will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or error-free.

We are not liable for decisions you make based on Plimbu outputs, including design, purchasing, contracting or application decisions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Changes to the service or Terms

We may update Plimbu or these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. The courts of Scotland have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
